New Zealand field trip/work – primer!

I just landed in New Zealand to attend a SPODDS field trip to the turbidites of the Taranaki basin (yeah!).  Over the next week or two I will be ‘live-blogging’ the trip (to compete with clastic detritus, ha ha).  For now I just have a nice shot of the sunrise from 40,000 feet from the window of a Boeing 777 that you like airplanes too should like.  Stay tuned for turbidites!
